What benefits do you enjoy from being a gIDE member?

Well, first it was most convenient learning for me, especially, since I'm a full-time dentist. It's like a readily-instant class where I can attend the lecture anytime I want...after work, dinners, dates. Just when ever I 'm available and wherever I go to with my notebook and internet, which is everywhere nowadays.

How did the membership improve your clinical skills or what did you learn overall?

Being a member of gIDE keeps me active in the "learning" process. Of course, every dentist knows that knowledge is endless and new advances happen all the time. Clinical practice along with the online learning makes it incredibly interesting and fascinating (instead of boring lectures in class). I get more enthusiastic once I know that "hey, other dentists from countries around the world are actually the same audience with me. "It's kind of fun and a good experience." I see more experienced Dentists (seniors) getting active and willing to know more about IT system to join this program. Makes me feel that "this is actually closing down the gap between generations".

"We share", is what I learned. In the same classes, I was a young experienced dentist but I showed them
(the senior ones) the IT systems. They shared their valuable experiences with me. This is what I call
"the highway of knowledge".

clinically for myself, since I'm a prosthodontist, so together with taking the implant master course along
with learning online improves my surgical skill...it's like seeing the picture before I do it...it's like a
"Prep" scene. Out of the course, I was more interested in esthetics ceramics which is getting more and
more popular everyday. ..I feel. Not just function, patients are looking for, esthetics, appearances is
what people want.

What did it do to your practice?

The course curriculum and the online learning give me more confidence in what I do in clinic. The DVD
library of surgical procedure, I almost feel like "hey I've been there done that". So it built my confidence,
I know what I do.

Results?

Clinically Successful. I'm happy and so are my patients.
