Dr. Istvan Urban
received his DMD degree and subsequently his MD degree from Semmelweis University School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1992 and 1996. He completed a residency program in oral surgery at St. Istvan Hospital in Budapest, Hungary. He completed his 2-year internship program at UCLA School of Dentistry in the section of Periodontics.
In 2000 he graduated from the Fellowship Program in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California and he was appointed assistant professor the following year. Dr. Urban teaches implant dentistry in the graduate program at Loma Linda and he holds an active license in the state of California. He maintains a private practice in Budapest, Hungary.
Currently he is conducting several clinical studies about the success of bone augmentation procedures and the long-term success rates of dental implants, placed in regenerated bone. Dr. Urban is an invited speaker internationally in the field of Implant Dentistry.

This lecture covers some of the most important points in implant surgery and in particular in sinus bone graft surgery which have to do with preventing problems and complications and how to diagnose and treat them when they arise. It is very difficult to find a scientific presentation on this topic and is therefore highly recommended for the implant clinician who performs or is getting ready to perform sinus bone graft surgery.
